The map of the old PERUZZO ESTATE with colours to indicate the various cultivation’s and woodlands of PERUZZO FARM owned by Giuseppe Marrucchi and also indicating the position of the buildings belonging to the farm
Production area of "DOC MONTEREGIO DI MASSA MARITTIMA" and "DOP TUSCAN OLIVE OIL"

PERUZZO FARM owned by Giuseppe Marrucchi also including land rented by his sister, is nowadays mainly woodland, vineyards and olive-groves, and some fields used for the cultivation of durum wheat. In recent years new plantations of olive groves have been added and are now being completed. We have chosen the leccio variety due to the fact that it’s a hardy variety and resistant to the cold, using the pendolino variety as a pollinator setting the plants at 7x 7 or 6 x 8 to facilitate the mechanical harvest. As from 2003 new vineyards of red sangiovese and cabernet franc grapes have been planted substituting the vineyards of white, aiming at quality and not quantity. On the estate there are cork-oak woods and Mediterranean bush with some pines planted in outlying fields. Above the village of Roccatederighi there are some coppice woods belonging to one of the sisters. Near the main farm building there are several enclosures where both domestic and wild animals are bred, more from a passion for these animals than any other reason. The kitchen gardens, orchid and heated greenhouse, used to grow winter vegetables and house plants from the cold, are also close to the main building. At the present time the total land surface of the estate of 345 hectares divided into: 24 vineyards, 59 olive-groves, 39 fields, 31 pastures, 13 pine woods, 5 cork-oak woods, 128 coppice woods, 78 vegetable gardens and 7 gardens
